MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging)

It is a diagnostic method that measures the magnetic properties of the materials that make up the human body and
reconstructs them into images using a computer. While most conventional X-rays use radiation, MRI uses magnets,
which is a major difference from conventional X-ray methods.
Features of MRI

Advanced imaging tests that use powerful magnetic fields to obtain information about the inside of the human body

This is a method that places a person inside a large magnet and uses a strong magnetic field and high-frequency electromagnetic
waves to receive signals indicating the distribution of atoms in the body and their bonding state with other atoms,
and then process them on a computer. Electromagnetic waves are then generated to create a cross-sectional image.
Compared to X-ray tomography, it has an excellent ability to distinguish tissues, has no side effects from X-ray imaging,
and has excellent diagnostic capabilities.

Why it should be SM Radiology Department?

Equipped with excellent cutting-edge MRI medical equipment developed by Siemens in Germany

SM Radiology Department operates two MAGNETOM SKYRA 3.0T MRI units and one MAGNETOM Spectra 3.0T MRI unit, the most advanced MRI medical equipment developed by Siemens in Germany, to minimize patient waiting time.
01

Using state-of-the-art MRI, you can receive the necessary tests in a short period of time.
02

High-resolution imaging technology enables accurate image interpretation.
03

Customized testing is possible depending on each patient's condition.
04

Reduced noise generated during inspection.
05

The wide entrance and exit can reduce anxiety in claustrophobic patients and pediatric patients when examining them.
06

The 4th generation TIM function improves diagnostic performance in terms of resolution and contrast compared to existing equipment.

Precautions during inspection

· Personal belongings or electronic devices containing metal cannot be brought into the testing center under any circumstances as they may be damaged, cause harm to the human body, malfunction of the device, or cause image distortion.

· If you have any metal objects, such as artificial medical devices, in your body, please be sure to tell us before the examination.

· Pregnant women, those with claustrophobia (panic disorder), or those with kidney disease must consult with a medical professional before undergoing testing.

If you are undergoing a test that requires the use of angiographic contrast agents

· Fasting for at least 6 hours is required, and if you have experienced any side effects from past contrast media use, you must notify us in advance.

· If you are taking diabetes medication, you should stop taking it the same day and visit a hospital.

· To check your creatinine level or eGFR level, you must bring blood test results from within the last 6 months.
( If you do not have blood test results, you can receive a blood test at our center.)
